Position: Restaurant Manager

The Seafood Shack Marina, Bar & Grill is looking to hire a Restaurant Manager! This full-time position requires you to be highly motivated and have a strong passion for culinary excellence and outstanding guest service. Must be flexible/available to work lunch and dinner shifts. Reports directly to COO. Pushing, pulling or lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. Previous experience in a high-volume full service restaurant (minimum 2 years) is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimating food and beverage costs and requisitions or purchases supplies
  • Conferring with food preparation and other personnel to plan menus and related activities such as dining room, bar, and banquet operations
  • Inspecting food and food preparation to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations
  • Investigating and resolving food quality and service complaints
  • Monitoring compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving, and building maintenance in lodging and dining facilities
  • Counting money and ensuring nightly close outs are completed
  • Scheduling and receiving beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity
  • Monitoring budgets and payroll records and reviewing financial transactions to ensure that restaurant expenditures are authorized and budgeted
  • Maintaining equipment inventories and keeping inventory records
  • Scheduling staff hours and assigning duties
  • Establishing standards for personnel performance and customer service
  • Participating in restaurant marketing efforts as needed
  • Maintaining consistent execution of company policies and procedures
  • Adhering to health and safety standards at all times
  • Completing other duties as assigned in support of the business

Position: On-Call Banquet Staff

The Seafood Shack Marina, Bar & Grill is looking to hire On-Call Banquet Staff! This position requires you to assist at private events hosted by The Seafood Shack on an on-call basis. Good communication, positive attitude, and dependability are important. Pushing, pulling or lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. Must be able to stand for several hours at a time. Previous catering/banquet experience in a similar role is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with Event Coordinator and following instructions to ensure a timely set-up and smooth event
  • Setting up events (tables, chairs, linens, place settings, etc)
  • Carrying trays of food and/or drinks
  • Closing down at the end of the event (breaking down tables, taking linens to the laundry area, etc)
  • Serving guests according to specific event requirements
  • Adhering to health and safety standards at all times
  • Completing other duties as assigned in support of the business

Position: Bartender (Part-Time)

The Seafood Shack Marina, Bar & Grill is looking to hire a dynamic, energetic Bartender! This part-time position requires you to be at least 18 years of age, a strong team player, a good communicator and very organized. Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages. Must be able to stand for several hours at a time. Previous bartending experience (minimum 2 years) in a similar role is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and engaging with guests in a friendly outgoing manner
  • Mixing, garnishing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks for guests in the bar area
  • Communicating with Servers regarding drink orders for guests seated in the restaurant
  • Guiding guests through Seafood Shack drink menus while demonstrating thorough knowledge of the beverages and ingredients
  • Taking and ringing accurate orders and providing attentive service that makes guests feel well taken care of
  • Keeping the bar stocked and clean at all times
  • Following all cash handling policies and procedures
  • Completing other duties as assigned in support of the business

Position: Server (Part-Time)

The Seafood Shack Marina, Bar & Grill is looking to hire a dynamic Server! This part-time position requires you to be at least 18 years of age, a strong team player, an outgoing, good communicator, very organized and able to multi-task. Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to stand for several hours at a time. Previous serving experience (minimum 2 years) in a similar role and food safety certification is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively greeting all guests upon arrival
  • Engaging in friendly conversation with guests throughout their stay
  • Guiding guests through Seafood Shack menus while demonstrating thorough knowledge of the food, beverages and ingredients
  • Taking and ringing accurate orders and providing attentive service that makes guests feel well taken care of
  • Following all cash handling policies and procedures
  • Completing all side work and opening and closing procedures
  • Completing other duties as assigned in support of the business

Position: Busser (Part-Time)

The Seafood Shack Marina, Bar & Grill is looking to hire a Busser! This part-time position requires you to be at least 18 years of age, a strong team player and work at a fast pace in a friendly manner. Pushing, pulling or lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. Must be able to stand for several hours at a time. Previous bussing experience in a similar role is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the entire restaurant facility is always clean, stocked and visually appealing
  • Assisting servers in properly serving food and beverages
  • Clearing, cleaning and resetting tables to ensure they are ready for the next guest
  • Communicating with Host/Hostess regarding open tables and tables that are about to turnover
  • Assisting guests as needed
  • Completing other duties as assigned in support of the business

Position: Host/Hostess (Part-Time)

The Seafood Shack Marina, Bar & Grill is looking to hire a Host/Hostess! This part-time position requires you to be at least 18 years of age, a strong team player, a good communicator and very organized. Must be able to stand for several hours at a time. Previous hosting experience in a similar role is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively greeting all guests upon arrival
  • Seating guests in a timely manner
  • Providing guests with menus
  • Introducing guests to their server
  • Engaging in friendly conversation with guests throughout their stay
  • Managing restaurant waiting list during high volume to accurately set guest expectations
  • Demonstrating thorough knowledge of Seafood Shack promotions and offerings
  • Completing other duties as assigned in support of the business
