The Seafood Shack is thrilled to be part of the first annual Eat Like a Local Restaurant Week, brought to you by the Sarasota-Manatee Originals group. Nearly 50 of your favorite Manatee and Sarasota restaurants will be offering special prix fixe menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
At The Shack, Chef Gerard Jesse will be offering specially-designed, exclusively-priced lunch and dinner menus that embody The Shack’s slogan “New Florida Flavor, Old Florida Feel.” His Restaurant Week “Cracker Menu” honors classic Florida dishes with a contemporary twist of his own personal style.
Entrées include Curried Frog Legs over rice, Baked Chicken and Biscuit personal “pot pie” and Crispy-Fried Soft Shell Crab Sandwich. First courses include Fresh-shucked Oysters, Pork Crackling and Fried Local Okra. And you’ll want to save room for one of his desserts: Peach Fritters with peach-caramel drizzle, Kentucky Bourbon Balls and Old-Fashioned Pecan Pie.
