Eat Like A Local! The Seafood Shack Joins Sarasota-Manatee Originals
The Seafood Shack Marina, Bar & Grill is proud to announce that it has joined The Sarasota-Manatee Originals – a group that is passionate about supporting the coast’s unique culinary heritage while celebrating locally owned restaurants.
For more than 10 years, Sarasota-Manatee Originals (SMO) has been passionate about supporting local restaurants and the community. They promote dining in independently owned restaurants and collaborate to serve the interests of the independent restauranteur in our community. As an independently owned and operated establishment, we know the importance of spreading the word about eating locally and we are thrilled to be a part of this group that shares the same passion as we do.
Each year, SMO hosts Florida’s finest food and wine festival called Forks & Corks. Held at the Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, Forks & Corks showcases the deliciously diverse cuisine of more than 50 members of The Sarasota-Manatee Originals restaurants as well as the delicious products of visiting winery owners and winemakers.
SMO has recently launched a new look for their brand that speaks to what the Originals is truly about – eating like a local. Now, with more than 50 restaurants who share a passion for dining excellence, the group has become the go-to resource for an “Eat Like a Local” experience.
Using the hashtag #EatLikeALocal941, SMO hopes to engage with the local community online and bring awareness to the many great benefits of eating at a local, independently owned restaurant. When you dine at The Seafood Shack, not only do you consume fresh, local seafood and produce, but you also get the satisfaction of knowing that you are contributing to our local community and economy. The stronger our local farmer gets, the more we ensure local goods can be grown and raised for generations to come.
