Seafood Shack Toasting the Solar Eclipse with ‘Total Eclipse Beer Flight’

On Monday, an historic event will occur – A Total Solar Eclipse visible from the continental United States – and we’re celebrating! The Seafood Shack’s “Total Eclipse Beer Flight” will feature 4-ounce pours of 4 of our locally-brewed craft beers that range from light to dark. The flight will be offered through the end of August and includes the following beers for just $5:

  • Cigar City Homemade Apple Pie Cider
  • Motorworks Indy IPA
  • Yuengling Traditional Lager
  • Big Storm Wavemaker Amber Ale

It is estimated that anywhere between 1.8 to 5 million people will be traveling to see the Total Eclipse on August 21. Cities and communities outside the Path of Totality, including all cities in the state of Florida, will experience a partial solar eclipse. Floridian’s will notice about 80-90% of the Sun will be covered by the Moon.

Here is the timeline for the August 21 Solar Eclipse as viewed from the Tampa Bay area:
1:18PM The eclipse begins. The Sun’s rays will become obstructed by the Moon as it passes by.
2:50PM The moment of maximum eclipse. At this point about 80% of the Sun will be covered by the Moon.
4:14PM The eclipse comes to an end.

The only safe way to look at the partially eclipsed sun is through a filter. Please take proper safety precautions.
