Seafood Shack named one of 10 top dockside bars in Southwest Florida Featured in Herald Tribune
Hot Off The Press
Southwest Florida has a bunch of great drinking spots that can be reached by land or sea. The Herald Tribune recently named Seafood Shack as one of the top 10 dockside bars in Southwest Florida in their Ticket Sarasota edition.
A two-story restaurant, bar, banquet space and marina along the Intracoastal Waterway in Cortez, the Seafood Shack opened in 1971. In November, the marina and restaurant were bought by a Canada-based development firm that has seriously improved the overall experience with a new menu and management as well as indoor and outdoor renovations. Don’t worry, though, this new hotspot featuring locally caught fish and other superb dishes, Bradenton-brewed beer and a winning cocktail selection still has its charming Old Florida feel.
