Become a Cortez Explorer!
The merchants of Cortez want everyone to come see what makes it such a special place. The Cortez Passport is a small booklet that allows visitors to collect stamps from businesses throughout the village. There are 24 merchants in the passport, but it only takes 12 stamps to earn a prize. No purchase is necessary to receive a stamp. Once an explorer receives at least 12 stamps, the passport can be taken to the Florida Maritime Museum to receive an official Cortez Explorer T-shirt. You can pick up a Cortez Passport at any one of the participating merchants including Seafood Shack, Cortez Café, Tylers Ice Cream, Bunny & Pirates Bizarre to name just a few.
Rock The Docks!

The Seafood Shack’s “Rock The Docks” summer music series continues on Saturday, June 23 with The Martin Duo from 2 to 5pm and TC and The Troublemakers from 6 to 9pm. Guests are invited to come by land or sea to be treated to an afternoon of fabulous Music on the Marina!

34th Annual Grand Prix FUN RUN to benefit Suncoast Charities for Children
Sunday June 24 10am-4pm
This event is part of the 34th Annual Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix Festival, enjoy a great day of boating and fun in support of charity! All types of powerboats, leisure craft vessels, jet skis, and personal watercraft are welcome. Stops Include: MARINA JACK, SEAFOOD SHACK, THE SALTY DOG (CITY ISLAND) and THE BRIDGE TENDER INN & DOCKSIDE BAR. Registration takes place 10am to 11am at Marina Jack with a shotgun start at 11am.
